JAKARTA, Indonesia - An Indonesian court has sentenced a militant to 10 years in jail for helping set up a terrorist training camp and network.
The East Jakarta District Court on Wednesday found Abdullah Sunata guilty of financing and procuring weapons for the camp and hiding information about terrorism.
The network was allegedly planning to target foreigners at luxury hotels and embassies in the capital. More than 100 suspected members have been arrested or killed since February last year.
Sunata was arrested last year in Central Java.
Indonesia is the world's most populous Muslim nation. It has seen a series of deadly attacks since 2002 and has arrested about 600 suspected terrorists. About 400 have been convicted.
